MRI

MRI (or magnetic resonance imaging) uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves, and a computer to produce a detailed picture of the inside of your body. This noninvasive process can be used to diagnose medical conditions without the radiation of x-rays or CT scans. Servant Medical Imaging employs the 1.5 Tesla High-field MRI as well as the Open MRI. The 1.5 Tesla is considered the standard for clinical MRI and can produce higher quality images with shorter scan times. The Open MRI is ideal for patients who are claustrophobic, and provides much more room than the closed MRI. MRI allows for pictures of almost any part of your body, and can scan your abdomen, chest and brain to name a few.

An MRI can produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bones and almost all other internal structures. There is no radiation with an MRI. An MRI can be useful in looking at:

  • Heart
  • Liver
  • Kidneys
  • Spleen
  • Bowel
  • Pancreas
  • Adrenal Glands
  • Bladder
  • Reproductive organs (uterus, ovaries, prostate)
  • Blood vessels
  • Lymph nodes
  • Brain

Being able to clearly see all of these areas can aid your doctor in diagnosing and monitoring various conditions, including:

  • Tumors
  • Cirrhosis of the liver
  • Abnormalities of bile ducts or pancreas
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Heart problems
  • Vasculitis

Servant Medical Imaging is proud to offer 1.5 Tesla High-field MRI scans at our Broken Arrow, and  Norman locations. Open MRI can be found at our Tulsa, Owasso, Bartlesville, Stillwater, Yukon and Midwest City locations.
